See AllA 2.6-rated app on iPhone, barely reskinned
I call b.s. on the singular 5-star review for the iPad version of this app. The same app has a 2.6-star rating with over 300 reviews, and this “iPad version” is a thin reskin that takes no apparent advantage of iPad’s far larger screen or additional features. As far as I can see it’s just the iPhone app with wider column width but no change to layout or UX. So this is a 2.6-star app, that I’m going to mark down a further point for having not been well-ported to iPad. 1.6 stars from me, I’ll round up to two.
This b.s. annoys me to no end. Just make a quality app, and if you’re going to make a tablet version go ahead and do it for real.
Not Accessible and not working
I am Low vision and I rely on high contrast mode, (turning bright backgrounds dark, when dark mode is unavailable for a particular app). And larger text. This app somehow circumvents my attempts to enable smart invert, and if I have the text larger controls over lap so I cannot access them.
When I turned on VoiceOver, I couldn’t enter text into the edit fields with my e-mail address, and when I struggle through this all, I still cannot get the app to work, I’m in a death loop of, enter your e-mail.. send magic link… enter your e-mail… send magic link… or enter your ticket number. Enter your email…
I cannot progress, and to add insult to injury, I cannot access any of the Bizzabo content on the web with my screen reader on desktop, or at all on my mobile device. The pages just appear to be broken both registration, and agenda viewing. You know, kinda important stuff. I’m so frustrated right now.
Positive attendee experience
Very easy to view the agenda and see where I am supposed to go next at an event, especially with a large footprint. I also like being able to save sessions to my own “agenda” vs. having to scroll through the whole agenda every time. Overall just a simple, straight forward event app.
